Principles of operation
The Dosing Conveyor (DC) is used for transportation of materials like coal, cement, granite, salt etc. with a controlled feed rate to a crusher or divider.
General description
The belt is driven by an electrical geared brake motor that is directly connected to the drive pulley. Both the drive- and turn pulleys are suspended from ball bearings which are fastened to a sturdy frame. The pulleys are crowned in order to keep the belt centered. The turn pulley also acts as a tension roller.
The conveyor is equipped with a rugged trough formed belt. The belt is highly wear resistant, which gives it a very long service life. The conveyors are shielded with plates to preserve sample humidity and integrity.
As an option the Dosing Conveyor can be mounted inclined. The Inclined dosing conveyors can be equipped with belts that have a special high profile to carry the material even at a very steep slope angle.
The Dosing Conveyors are manufactured to meet the customer’s request, where the supporting points also are adapted to the existing structure.
The conveyor belts are also used to return rejected material to the main stream.
