Principles of operation
The Double Chute Sampler (DFP) is designed to take out increments of non-sticky powdered material from a free-falling flow of material in a closed pipe system.
Download Double Chute Sampler brochure (PDF)General description
The DFP has two synchronized cutters for taking two independent and representative increments of the same material stream.
The cutters are driven from the same gear motor unit. One is driven directly and the other is driven and synchronized over a timing belt. The cutter inlet is designed so that the full cross section of the material flow is cut through during one rotation, and furthermore is shaped so that all particles from any part of the cross section have the same probability of being sampled i.e.: a representative sample is taken. The sample is extracted into a chute where a tight fitting sample bottle can be mounted, or it falls by gravity in a chute to further sample preparation.
