Welding guide
In order to fix the Dustless Connection to the feeder pipe a pipe socket with female thread is required.
The Welding guide is a template for fixing the socket at a correct position during the welding of the socket to the feeder
pipe.
The Dustless Connection is an instrument port for the Pulverized Fuel Sampler (PFS and PFS-A). For the sample head of the Pulverized Fuel Sampler to be able to rotate freely inside the feeder pipe it is a condition that the centre line of the socket is passing through the centre line of the feeder pipe.

In order to avoid the PFS and PFS-A to get stuck on the inside wall of the fuel pipe during sampling, the free space for rotation inside the fuel pipe has to be tested. The tool is basically testing the eccentricity of the sockets welded on to the fuel pipes
The head of the tool is through the socket entered into the fuel pipe until it reaches the opposite inner wall. The arm is rotated by turning the small handle at the rear end of the lance. When a full rotation is performed your have proved that the installation of the Dustlees Connection will be sufficiently accurate to allow a free rotation of the PFS and PFS-A.
